Score - Music composed for a film that is written by a single composer, its is designed to fit the film and narrative perfectly and with the time code.

Soundtrack - a selection of songs that are in a film, most of the time they are existing songs that are licensed by the film's producers. Sometimes a song can be written specifically for a film.

Soundtracks can change the tone and visuals of a film drastically. An example of this:
