Factual Filmmaking: 60 Second Documentarys

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

I got the wonderful opportunity to help with the sound of cast 1's show of charlie and the chocolate factory. I was also able to be in cast 2's show as the blueberry!

Casey Weedall, Robyn Mooney and myself made our 60 second documentary on the level 3 actors rendition of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory!

Over the course of the three show days me and Casey filmed snippets of behind the scenes of the performance and then on the final show we asked the children characters and Willy Wonka what their favourite line from the show was. Also every show was filmed by another filmmaker so we used some of the footage from the actual show as well to fill in the space.
When I was in the show we also filmed the process of me getting the makeup on and when I was in the big purple suit. This was my first time doing all of that sort of thing so I was very excited.

We have decided to film the documentary in portrait so that if its good enough it can be posted onto social media easily and will reach the audience we want - future students for the APTA courses.

The 60 Second Documentary that inspired our documentary was a documentary about a man who takes pictures of toys for a living:

The main reason I chose this documentary was it clearly shows his process of how he takes his pictures and is very informative and inspiring. It's not to fast that you will need to re watch it to get all the information but it not to long that you would get bored.
